Mulberry was founded in 1971 by Roger Saul, and the first Mulberry products, belts and chokers, were made around the family kitchen table. Once production outgrew their home, Roger’s parents oversaw the first team of outworkers and then the opening of a Mulberry factory in Somerset, The Rookery.
In 2014, Mulberry opened a second factory, The Willows, in Bridgwater, Somerset with the help of a government programme to create economic growth and lasting employment. Today, Mulberry is proud to be the largest manufacturer of luxury leather goods in the United Kingdom thanks to the expertise of its 600 craftsmen and craftswomen.
